As director of Paramis Consulting. I will be writing a regular blog highlighting our thoughts and learnings in the field of digital transformation, with a view to helping you think through the opportunities, risks and issues involved, in order to get the best results you can.

"Public service?" you ask. We mean local and national governments, housing associations, public healthcare providers, 'blue light' services, charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations. A broad definition, covering diverse purposes and services, but with a common thread of making a serious difference to lives, often at times of crisis and/or for vulnerable people.

Successful digital transformation can be particularly challenging for this group due to an obligation to serve all, stakeholders' difficulties with change, a limited ability to fund service operation and investment through charging for them, and sometimes heavy regulation.
